These Tips Will Help You Buy or Sell a Home in 2013:

As the New Year begins it is always a good idea to take inventory and set goals for the next 12 months. If you are thinking about buying or selling a home this year, here are some good markers that may alleviate surprises and make your experience less stressful and more positive.

1. Get your credit reports and make sure they are accurate. If there are issues, better to jump on them ahead of the inquiries that are part of the loan process. Be sure to get a copy from all 3 reporting bureaus as they often differ slightly. Remember that each time you get a new charge card or have your credit checked, the score can be affected.
